ONLINE CLASS PROTOCOL

The following Online Class Protocol procedures are as follows:

  • Member must not be operating or riding in a moving motor vehicle during check-in or during the class session. Member will be asked to reconnect into the class when the member has established a safe location to participate in the Zoom Class Session.

  • Each member must have access to a personal computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device with camera and microphone capabilities (no sharing devices).

  • Member must have, or be able to create, a verified Zoom account to connect to the Online Training Class.

  • Member must login to their Zoom account first then join the meeting/class before the designated start time.

  • Member login will be open 20 minutes prior to the designated start time.

  • Members who try to login after the designated start time will not be allowed into the class.

  • Member must use legal name, no “code name” (e.g. junior boy, eastside guy, etc.) for registration and login to the select safety class.

  • Member must not record, screen shot, or share any class content on any social media format.

  • Member must enable the “video camera” function in Zoom and be dress in appropriate attire and in full face view of the camera during the duration of the class. No wearing of sunglasses allowed during the class.

  • Member must set aside the time and space in their residence to allow for uninterrupted attendance for the purpose of the select safety class.

  • Member’s microphone will be disabled during the class unless activated by the Host or Co-Host for interactive participation as needed.

  • For NFPA 70E: Pick-up/drop-off of the NFPA 70E course materials TBD.  More details of pick-up/drop-off times and location to follow a confirmed registration.

  • For NFPA 70E: Course material will be placed in a plastic container.  All course material and required signed documents will need to be returned to the Training Office without defect or damage before the release of the Training Certificate.
